Crescent Cookies

This recipe is from the collection of my great grandmother Viola Widmann Weigel.

1 Cup butter or margarine

1/2 Teaspoon vanilla

1/2 Cup powdered sugar

1 and 1/2 Tablespoons water

1 Cup chopped nuts (any kind)

2 Cups flour

Combine butter, powdered sugar, and water then stir in flour. Then nuts. Usually have to mix with your hands. Shape into crescents or logs and bake. 350 degrees for 12 – 15 minutes. While warm roll in powdered sugar. Makes about 3 dozen
