This recipe is from the collection of my great grandmother, Viola Widmann Weigel.
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar
salt
1 cup creamy style peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups rice crispies
1 cup corn flakes crushed
1 pkg 6oz semi sweet chocolate chips
Combine syrup, sugar, and salt in sauce pan. Bring to full boil. Stir in peanut butter. Remove from flame and stir in cereal. Press in buttered pan and chill.
I've been an amateur genealogist for 20+ years. I am the current vice president of Marshfield Area Genealogy Group.
The purpose of this blog is to share the stories, pictures, and information I've collected over the years with family and friends.
The majority of the information will be focused on Wisconsin families with some branches extending into neighboring states, New England, the UK, Norway, and western Europe.

I know that handwriting…and the taste of those peanut butter chocolate bars. Yum.
