Young Woman Takes Out Hunting License
Out from the 150 hunting licenses that have been issued to residents of Wood County up-to-date, there has been but one taken out by a woman. The license is a young woman from Marshfield, Miss Lydia Eckhoff, and it was issued on August 16. Licesnses have been issued in increasing numbers in the past two weeks, and nearly 150 have been sent out to the hunters in Wood county by County Clerk George Davis. Up to the time of this writing, the only woman to get a permit to hunt is Miss Eckhoff, who plans on going deer hunting this fall, as well as going for prairie chickens and small game.
