Gramma’s Paper Dolls

This collection of treasures is not in my possession. Gramma’s youngest daughter has had these drawings for years and has recently shared them with me with permission to share them with all of you!

These paper dolls were created by my grandmother, Lagada Dirk Weigel, when she was in middle school. Gramma’s family struggled financially and store bought paper dolls were not in the budget. Gramma copied styles that she saw in magazines of the day -post WWII- and she drew the dresses by hand.
