Dill Pickles

This recipe is from the collection of my great grandmother Viola Widmann Weigel.

1/2 cup vinegar

1 and 1/2 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1/4 teaspoon alum

Fill jar with hot water and let set

add dill, onion, or garlic
