Turmeric Pickles
This recipe is from the collection of my great grandmother, Viola Widmann Weigel.

12 large pickles peel and slice
let stand in cold water 2 hours and drain
12 small onions
1 pt vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1 tsp mustard seed
1 tsp celery seed
